Painting is dead. Long live painting. Ready made, installation, performance, happening, conceptual art, video art, post-media, net art, virtual reality. The practice of spreading colors on a surface has not been extinguished. Rather it has branched out to confront all the other developments in art: and thus to reaffirm its meaning, its senses. Here we present three branches of contemporary Italian painting: Elio Caredda (La Spezia 1953, lives and works in Sostasio - Udine), Silvano Rubino (Venice 1952, lives and works in Venice), Federico Zanini (Mantova 1977, lives and works in Venice).
The finissage of the exhibition will take place on Saturday 11th, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. On this occasion, the official catalogue will be presented by the artists.
