Seven young art students present their work in Venice and communicate with the top architects around the world. It could be said that they have chosen a tough and challenging stage. The post-90s grew up in an open and diverse culture environment. Their values were influenced and impacted by all kinds of information. Do they have more choices or more interferences and obstacles compared with post-60s, post-70s and post-80s? For these young artists participating in this exhibition, one common point is that art practice should not only stay on self-entertainment at the very beginning, and should learn in a well-developed system. Exhibition is a good way to learn. It allows you to devote yourself, find your own problems, visit other exhibitions with problems, find yourself in other more mature works, discover your own pursuits and confusions, and learn how the others solve the problems. In the process of growing up, they also could generally affect and change the system.
As Kant mentioned, "Beauty is purposeless but have the quality of purposiveness." All human activities cannot abandon their purposes, which constitute confines where the freedom is buried deeply. Thus, confines are freedom.
