.
CELLULOID ART ECHOES is the first showcase of Antoni Pinent's work in Italy, a project exploring the artist's cinematographic work in which he has developed a particular attention to the moving image. This exhibition presents a selection of works as physical objects – many seen for the first time – as a gift and as an act of resistance against the loss of the analogue format, seeking to preserve it through hybridisation with the digital universe.
Some of the works on display aim to define film in a new reality, which, inspired by sculpture and painting, enhances its static reality, allowing it to be perceived in a single moment of time. The artist’s work is expressed in an exchange between the realities of cinematographic apparatus and the other visual arts.
